A Little about myself.
I am a student of art and a student of science; an artist, who has also been an audiologist, an administrator, a parent and a partner.
Beginning with my French Cajun mother and German Irish father, my life has been a journey of varied and vital experiences, always gravitating toward art, with science as the financial backing.
I have practiced Audiology in a medical setting, and taught it at a University.
At a college for Deaf students, I gained understanding of a culture other than my own, and learned to be fluent in American Sign Language.
The RISD program in Painting evoked a struggle to connect science, art, mythology, light and culture as I created images on canvas or paper, in ceramics or photography.
As an administrator in a college and in a university, I continued that journey, focused on creating teams of staff, faculty and students, and working toward equality of opportunity in their mutual academic successes.
...All the while, trying to be a good partner, a reflective parent, an active community member and an artist.
I am driven to create images as means of peaceful resistance to the chaos in our world. So I continue.
